Telephone interviews:
Be prepared - this is a business call, not a friendly chat
avoid calling from loud or distracting places – make sure background noise is very limited. Ideally call from a landline

your primary objective is to gain an offer from the client
plan your journey well in advance

firm handshake, smile often, plenty of eye contact, and use the Interviewer’s name
take a copy of your CV
take a pen & notepad for notes and your pre-prepared intelligent questions
really know your facts & figures, eg Billings, Rates, Names and Dates
if possible produce documentary evidence, eg payslips, figure sheets etc
be primed to sell yourself within 30-60 seconds – why should they want you
